Two time Hawthorn best and fairest winner and premiership goalkeeper, George Bazeley, has been selected among five Victorians in Ric Charlesworth’s 24-man London 2012 Olympic squad. This is due reward for George’s years of hard work and training that has seen him transition from club-level to state-level to world-class goalkeeper. And all this during one of Australian hockey’s most globally dominant periods, having won the past four Champions Trophies and the World Cup.

George - congratulations from all associated with the Hawthorn Hockey Club. We are all enjoying watching your continued rise and wish you all the best over the coming training block leading up to the Olympics.
