Welcome to the Women’s Division
The Hawthorn Hockey Club has women’s teams participating in the following divisions:
- State League 1
- Pennant A
- Pennant C
- Metro 1 North
- Metro 2 South
- Metro 4 South
Such a wide diversity of teams allows us the opportunity to offer players of all skill levels an opportunity to play. New players are always welcome and should contact the Women’s President or the team managers. (see contacts).
We commenced our Training for the State League 1 and Pennant A squads in late January. This follows closely the need to maintain fitness.
The home and away matches commence in mid-April 2010 and conclude after 18 rounds at the end of August. Finals follow that and run through September.
We have qualified Coaches for all teams who have the knowledge and understanding of all players.
We conduct Team selections every Tuesday before the weekend’s match and we communicate the selected teams to all members via email the next day.
The wonderful thing about playing for Hawthorn Women is that we all care for you and are there 24/7 to help you every step of the way. We are successful and will be giving the finals a good tilt in 2009.
