Welcome to the Women's Section
Premier League Squad
At Hawthorn we welcome a diverse range of players from juniors through to masters, and absolute beginners through to elite players. Our Women’s Section is part of a caring club, with all current members keen to welcome you to the HHC community. We take our hockey seriously and celebrate success accordingly through social functions throughout the season – the best of both worlds!
Our teams across all divisions have demonstrated a sustained level of success and achievement for many years. Our Premier League team has won Hockey Victoria’s Premiership for the last 4 (full) seasons.
In the 2024 winter season, we will field 6 senior women's teams and 3 women's masters teams:
- Premier League
- Premier League Reserves
- Pennant A
- Pennant B
- Pennant D
- Pennant E
- Masters: 35+A, 35+B & 45+
Premier League Squad
- Tuesday - 7:00pm to 8:30pm on H-2
- Thursday - 8:30pm to 10:00pm on H-1
Pennant A, B, D, E & Masters
- Wednesday - 8:30pm to 10:00pm on H-2
Masters
- No training required but can attend the Wednesday Pennant training

All players are required to be registered with both Hockey Victoria (HV) and Hawthorn. Due to insurance policies with Hockey Victoria, it is ideal if players have registered with HV before commencing training.
Hawthorn Hockey Club registrations are now available – please register as soon as possible.

The Hawthorn Hockey Club uses Team App for official club and section messages, fixtures and selection information.
Please make sure that you have “checked” the correct Access Groups so you are opted in for the correct updates.
Likewise, leave any Access Groups that you are no longer associated with to minimise the number of Team App notifications you receive.
Please download TeamApp, search for Hawthorn Hockey Club and request access.
Note: Some groups, teams may use WhatsApp, however these messages are not club messages and are not archived by the club.
