HookIn2Hockey@Hawthorn

The Hawthorn Hockey Club runs an introductory program called HookIn2Hockey@Hawthorn.

Hookin2Hockey is Hockey Australia’s national junior program and designed for Boys and Girls aged 13 and under. The program is particularly suits first time players. The program gives the participants the opportunity to learn the basic skills of hockey, develop fundamental motor skills and make friends.

Opportunities for the kids to then further participate in playing matches etc will be available through the winter program.

Who: Anyone interested in playing hockey. New friends are welcome – you don’t need to have played at Hawthorn this year, so invite your friends.

Aims: Have FUN and learn some hockey skills.

When: Join the teams training at 5:00pm on a Monday Night.

Where: H-1 (the pitch in front of the clubhouse) Hawthorn Hockey Club 482 Auburn Road, Hawthorn.

Cost: $87.81 Payment is required with registration.

What to wear: Sports clothes – runners, long socks, shorts or long pants, t-shirt or hoody – we can supply a stick and shin guards to use at each session.

Mouthguards are compulsory!! EVERYONE will need a mouthguard, which can be purchased from your dentist, sports shops or chemists.
