Ending their Junior time in style, Hawthorn has won the Gold Medal at the 2026 Indoor Championships U16 Boys.
Mentone entered the match on top of the combined pool ladder, having won every match to to that point.
The first 15 minute of the match were scoreless, with both teams demonstrating strong defensive capabilities, after a field goal in the 18th minute, Hawthorn lead the match for the rest of the game.
The Hawthorn team did not lose any pool matches and defeated Mentone 3-1.
The Gold medal was also a just reward for coach, Steve Eager, who has been developing this squad over a number of years.
